UPSTREAM CILIWUNG BECOMES A STRATEGIC PLACE TO BUILD A CONTEMPORARY BUSINESS
Tourism has now become one of the main needs in the midst of a pandemic. People want to get a new atmosphere other than at home and get peace from uncertain circumstances. In addition, work conditions that require people to work and study at home (WFH) further encourage people to get out of the routine by traveling. One of the tourist locations that is currently still favored by the Jabodetabek community is the Puncak Cisarua area in Bogor Regency.
Today, the peak area is still a favorite for Jabodetabek people to travel. With only 2 hours of travel time, people can enjoy the cool atmosphere of the mountains, but keep in mind this condition only occurs if there is no traffic jam. If there is a traffic jam, it takes up to 6 hours of travel time to reach the peak area. Not infrequently even people are willing to traffic jams just to enjoy the cool mountainous region and get out of the hustle and bustle of work in the city and look for a new atmosphere other than around the house.
The peak area offers a variety of tours ranging from staying in villas or inns to enjoy the cool air, culinary tours, nature tours, to educational tours in the peak area. One of the growing educational tours is Coffee Ecotourism.
The coffee tour, which is part of the 'Towards Sustainable Coffee Production in West Java' program held in collaboration between the WWF Indonesia Foundation and PT Bank HSBC Indonesia, offers enjoying nature in the upstream Ciliwung forest area while drinking coffee is a new tourism that is developing today. Visitors can enjoy the cool air accompanied by premium Arabica and Robusta Cibulao coffee. One form of community business is coffee plantations under stands. In addition to coffee, the community also utilizes environmental services in the form of tourism. This example of activity is an example of multi-business forestry utilization, the community can innovate creatively in developing the potential of the surrounding area by always applying the principles of sustainability and natural preservation. In addition to providing alternative new tourism objects for the community while maintaining natural sustainability, other impacts can also be obtained for the local community, namely the existence of new alternative income for residents and coffee farmers in the peak area of Cisarua, Bogor Regency. The combination of 3 pillars is important and can be seen here to continue to support the sustainability aspects, namely the Communities / Community Pillar, the Ecology / Environment Pillar, and also the Economic Pillar.
