MARINE AND FISHERIES
Indonesia is located at the center of the World's Coral Triangle, with 16 million square kilometers of waters that are home to 76% of the world's coral species, more than 3,000 species of fish, and numerous species of sea turtles, marine mammals and sharks. These natural resources from the ocean are critical to regional and global economies. Their existence also affects food security for the 130 million people who live on their coasts.
