WF's main partners in conservation are government agencies. As the authority and policy maker, WWF supports the government in implementing natural resource management in Indonesia. WWF has collaborations with various ministries and state agencies, government-owned enterprises, provincial and district/city governments, village governments and various research institutions.

Our support to the government includes:

  • Supporting the management of conservation areas: WWF works with national park and natural resource conservation centers (ending in December 2019), water conservation area management units, environment offices, and various other regional working units. In this case, WWF supports monitoring activities, research, community capacity building, strategic work plan development and performance assessment;
  • Supporting scientific studies and research: WWF works with the government in conducting scientific studies and data collection on various environmental conditions;
  • Supporting scientific studies and research.
  • Supporting campaigns for behavior change: WWF works with the government to educate the public about the importance of conserving natural resources.
  • Supporting campaigns for behavior change.
