Plastic waste is one of the causes of environmental problems that occur in almost every city. We can see how plastic waste can be found in various places. The reason, the use of plastic bags that have become part of our lives. This is exacerbated by the habit of some people who throw away used plastic waste arbitrarily.

In fact, plastic bag waste can cause damage to the surrounding ecosystem. This is because plastic does not decompose in a short time. Moreover, if plastic is in the water, it will become waste for a long time.

One of the efforts to reduce plastic waste is to reduce the use of plastic bags by means of 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). It is this campaign that the Panda Mobile team always brings when visiting schools as an invitation to protect the environment.

This time, the 3R activities were carried out at SDIT Ar Raudhah school, Bekasi. Last Friday, January 24 2019, Panda Mobile together with SDIT Ar Raudhah students recycled used t-shirts into shopping bags. The aim of this program is to reduce the use of plastic bags.

The activity participants were students from grades 4, 5 and 6. The children seemed excited to participate in the activity from the time they entered the hall to the implementation of the event. They had prepared themselves with equipment in the form of used t-shirts and scissors. During the activity, the participants followed every instruction given by the Panda Mobile team. Amazingly, they can complete the task well.

It is hoped that this activity will build awareness among SDIT Ar Raudhah students to reduce the use of plastic bags. "Because waste can be reused into items that can be reused with other functions, therefore, let's use goods wisely!" Said Hanna, Engagement Activation Staff WWF-Indonesia. That way, we can maintain and make a positive impact on the surrounding environment.
