Forests are complex ecosystems that have an important role in life on earth, including providing fresh and clean air for every living thing. This is due to the large number of trees in the forest that can produce oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide. More than that, forests also function to maintain the stability of the earth's climate and temperature, become a habitat for biodiversity, and a source of life for the surrounding community. Unfortunately, the existence of forests is increasingly threatened by increasing population and land needs, as well as climate change. Until now, forest problems still occur in various parts of the world, including Indonesia.
In order to address these issues, BTPN Syariah and WWF-Indonesia are working together to implement the Reforestation Program and Panda Mobile Roadshow. The Reforestation Program is an effort to protect the forest by planting 2,000 trees in Mahakam, East Kalimantan. Moreover, BTPN Syariah also supported the Panda Mobile Roadshow program in 9 cities in Indonesia. The Panda Mobile program aims to spread the message and invite the public to manage waste more responsibly and other efforts in preserving Indonesia's nature.
The partnership between BTPN Syariah and WWF Indonesia is also established through the Tepat Peduli Program where BTPN Syariah contributes to the infrastructure development efforts of BTPN Syariah customer communities spread across 39 locations in Indonesia. This infrastructure development program aims to meet the needs of the community in the surrounding area as well as in an effort to preserve the environment. Some of the activities carried out in this program include the construction of clean water facilities to the purchase of seeds and mangrove planting.
