PANDA MOBILE GOES TO MENTARI INTERCULTURAL SCHOOL
Panda Mobile is a truck modified into an educational truck with a mission to spread conservation messages, especially to children. The body of the truck is dominated by white color and decorated with cute stickers with protected animals that will surely make children interested and curious about what's inside this truck.
Going inside, children can explore a room decorated with cute stuffed animals, a small library of 100+ environmental conservation books, a plasma TV, and many interesting educational games, such as cricket and exploring Papua. Everything about Panda Mobile plays a role in supporting an immersive and impactful learning experience for students in schools.
Through the Panda Mobile's visits to schools, WWF-Indonesia is able to spread education and foster environmental awareness to students in schools and increase their knowledge about conservation. On this occasion, Panda Mobile visited Mentari Intercultural School Jakarta.
As for the various exciting activities carried out by the Panda Mobile team at the school, among others, inviting children to try the traditional game of engklek (hopscotch) which is packed with information on the introduction of endangered animals in Indonesia, then there is a game of exploring Papua, a ball throwing game packed with an introduction to endemic Papuan animals, interactive seminars, and screening of animated films about conservation. The children enjoyed watching the movie on the Panda Mobile truck.
In every activity, the students were very enthusiastic and excited. This is shown by the activeness of the students in all activities carried out by the Panda Mobile team.
