Igna, born in Wonogiri 30 years ago, graduated from the College of Fisheries, Jakarta in 2008. Since 2009 until now, Igna has worked as a researcher of Capture Fisheries and Capture Technology at the Fisheries Research and Development Center of the Marine and Fisheries Research and Development Agency of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (BalitangKP KKP). Igna mostly conducts capture fisheries research activities for tuna and shrimp, as well as its supporting factors such as harbors and carbon emissions of fishing vessels.

Igna attended the Southwest Maluku Expedition as a member of the Fisheries Social Team.
