EARTH HOUR 2016 Switch Off is just days away. This global campaign to deliver the message to tackle climate change will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 20:30-21:30 (local time). For one hour, at the same time, the public is invited to join in turning off lights and electrical devices that are not in use and subsequently become a lifestyle.

The power of EARTH HOUR lies in the small but tangible actions taken by many. This movement will have a greater impact if more parties join and commit to it. As an effort to accommodate public commitment to participate in the Earth Hour 2016 ceremony, Earth Hour Bandung multimedia team has prepared a digital form. Through the digital form, the public who want to participate can enter their personal data as a form of commitment to participate in Earth Hour 2016.

With this digital form, it is expected that more people will recognize and campaign for Earth Hour, and can be an effective reporting. Through this digital form, the public is also expected to be more concerned with energy issues and make it a daily conversation.

The Global Support Team of EH Bandung 2016 said that the digital form was chosen because nowadays movements through social media can spread so fast and large. Most citizens of productive age have social media accounts and are an influence on their environment. To make it easier for the public to give their support, the EH Bandung 2016 Global Support Team tried to make the flow as simple as possible. Finally, three easy steps were found to complete the form.

More than just filling in the data, the digital form also linked to a link that would provide a template for publishing on social media (Facebook or Twitter). The words "Switch Off" will be attached to profile pictures on social media so that it can be a reminder and invitation for the wider community to participate in Earth Hour 2016. Participants' timelines will also show the invitation and a link to the digital form. In addition, by posting the template publication, participants will become agents to spread the spirit of energy wisdom to other citizens. Participants who have committed can also share the link to the digital form so that it reaches more parties.
