PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To lead and drive an integrated, strategic communications function that strengthens WWF-Indonesia’s reputation, influence, and public engagement in advancing conservation outcomes.
The role ensures that communications effectively support policy influence, behaviour change, education and youth engagement, and resource mobilisation by delivering compelling, evidence-based narratives and campaigns. It positions WWF Indonesia as a trusted and authoritative voice on environmental issues, while aligning with WWF’s global priorities and “One WWF” approach.
As a member of the senior leadership ecosystem, the Head of Strategic Communications provides strategic counsel on reputation, stakeholder engagement, and risk, ensuring that all communications are impactful, coherent, and contribute directly to WWF-Indonesia’s mission and long-term conservation goals.
The position oversees all communications functions—including media engagement, digital strategy, internal communications, and campaign delivery—driving consistency, innovation, and measurable impact across the organization.
