Creative Video Editor
I. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As the demand for audiovisual communication continues to grow, WWF-Indonesia is seeking a Creative Video Editor to support the development and production of engaging, high-quality video content. The role will contribute to the creative process from concept development and storytelling to editing, post-production, and final delivery.
A key focus of this position will be supporting the development of “Stories from the Field,” a YouTube content IP that showcases stories, experiences, and perspectives from the field, bringing WWF-Indonesia’s conservation work and impact closer to audiences through compelling and human-centered storytelling. In addition to Stories from the Field, the position will support a variety of audiovisual communication needs, including organizational events, monthly video materials such as digital billboards/videotrons, campaign content, and other digital communication outputs.
II. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Video Production
- Support the development and production of “Stories from the Field” and other WWF-Indonesia video content.
- Support the planning and preparation of video production, including creative concepts, treatments, shot lists, production requirements, and equipment needs.
- Edit and produce video content from raw footage through final delivery, including rough cuts, final cuts, cutdowns, and adaptations for different platforms.
- Perform video editing, color correction/grading, audio mixing, sound design, subtitling, typography, and basic motion graphics as required.
- Develop engaging storytelling through editing, pacing, sequencing, music, sound, and visual treatment.
- Produce video materials for various communication needs, including YouTube, social media, videotron/digital billboard, event materials, campaign content, teasers, explainers, testimonials, and other relevant formats.
- Provide creative input and recommendations throughout the production process to ensure that video outputs effectively communicate the intended messages and objectives.
- Ensure all audiovisual outputs are aligned with WWF-Indonesia’s visual identity, brand standards, and relevant WWF communication guidelines.
B. Documentation & Data Management
- Maintain an organized system for managing audiovisual assets, including raw footage, audio files, graphics, project files, working files, and final outputs.
- Ensure video assets are properly named, categorized, stored, and archived according to the team’s file management system.
- Maintain appropriate backup and storage practices for video production files and assets.
C. Reporting & Coordination
- Report directly to the Creative & Content Production Coordinator on ongoing, completed, and upcoming video production activities.
- Coordinate directly with relevant Program/Project Teams during the production process, including for content development, interviews, field activities, footage collection, and other production requirements, under the direction and coordination of the Creative & Content Production Coordinator.
III. REPORTING LINE
- Internal: The Creative Video Editor reports directly to the Creative & Content Production Coordinator and works closely with the Creative Visual Designer and Media Digital Assistant to support the development and delivery of audiovisual communication materials.
- Eksternal: Under the coordination of the Creative & Content Production Coordinator, the Creative Video Editor will collaborate with relevant teams and stakeholders across the organization, including but not limited to the Social Media Team, Campaign Team, and Program/Project Teams, to support the development and production of audiovisual content according to their respective communication needs.
IV. REQUIREMENT
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any field of study is welcome.
- Candidates from diverse educational backgrounds are encouraged to apply, provided they demonstrate relevant skills and experience in video editing and/or video production.
- A strong video portfolio is required and will be an important consideration in the selection process.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, provided they can demonstrate relevant skills and a strong video portfolio.
- Experience in digital content, documentary, branded content, campaign videos, social media content, or other relevant audiovisual productions is an advantage.
- Experience working with non-profit organizations, NGOs, media organizations, creative agencies, production houses, or organizations with complex communication needs is an advantage.
