Berbudi, also known as Budi, is a 1997 graduate of Fisheries Machinery from the College of Fisheries, Jakarta. After completing his studies, Budi worked as a crew member on a fishing vessel for approximately five years. Then he continued his career at the Marine and Fisheries Research and Development Agency, Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (BalitbangKP KKP) until now, while completing his doctoral program in Marine Fisheries Technology at Bogor Agricultural University (IPB). The research fields pursued by this father of four children include environmentally friendly fishing gear, sub-fields of fishing gear hydrodynamics, and fishing aid systems.

In 2012-2015, the man born in Jakarta, August 23, 1972, was also quite actively involved in the Directorate of Fish Resources of the CTF as an instructor in charge of preparing on-board observers.

Budi will be one of the members of the Fisheries Social Team in the Southwest Maluku Expedition.
