Sebangau Newsletter 5th Edition highlight the hydrological restoration effort in Sebangau National Park. WWF-Indonesia and Sebangau National Park Office has successfully built 72 dams within 10 canals in Bakung River area, Sebangau National Park. Since 2005 up until March 2010, there are 330 dams built by the community initiated by Sebangau National Park Office and WWF-Indonesia.

Moreover the newsletter features the preparation of Central Kalimantan Tourism Destination Guide. WWF-Indonesia in cooperation with Central Kalimantan Province Tourism Board will start an expedition to Sebangau National Park and the Heart of Borneo area to collect data on potential tourism that can be developed and attract tourists.
