PANDA MOBILE SHARES WITH YAMI CHILDREN

In the atmosphere of the blessed month of Ramadan, Panda Mobile held a sharing and fun event with poor children from Yayasan Amal Mulia Indonesia (YAMI) on Friday (07/18) last week. The activity took place in the courtyard of the SESKOAL Cipulir Complex Sports Building, South Jakarta, because access to the foundation was not possible for six-wheeled trucks to pass.
Although the children participating in the activity were almost all fasting, they seemed enthusiastic about participating in each activity prepared by the Panda Mobile team. The children, who were divided into age groups, took turns watching short films and having discussions, recycling used t-shirts, decorating frames from used cardboard boxes, and playing various motor games, such as snakes and ladders Gajah Jalan-jalan Ke Sungai and engklek. The Panda Mobile volunteers also presented the children with pins and stickers.
After the activity, the children sat together in front of Panda Mobile to listen to Saipul tell the story 'The Bird and Mr. Tree'. The story is about a bird who flies to the city but doesn't find a single tree. The children listened to the story with great interest. The session ended with Oppie Andaresta singing the song 'Plant a Tree', with guitar accompaniment. As the time to break the fast approached, the children listened to a sermon and prayed together.
Iftar time arrived. In an orderly manner, the children queued for takjil and rice packets. All participants in the day's activities then broke their fast together. Before closing the day, Susilowati Lestari, Public and Supporter Relation Manager of WWF-Indonesia, symbolically handed over stationery and merchandise to a number of children. In her thank you speech, Susi hoped that education about the environment can be spread evenly and well absorbed in all levels of society, including the poor children.
