Click! The mirror of water that captured the green stripes of the woman on the boat...
Click! The lightning-like leap of the long-nosed and long-tailed ape is captured too...
Click! The intimate scene of a little boy hugging a rooster almost as big as himself. Cute. Invites a smile...
It has been a year since the Panda CLICK! community photography program was run by 30 local photographers in 4 villages in Kapuas Hulu District, West Kalimantan. A still camera and a video camera were loaned to all the groups full time starting from February 2010 and will end in March 2011.
CLICK: Communication Learning towards Innovative Change and Knowledge. This program seeks to bridge the communication and aspirations of the community through photography and encourage positive changes that benefit the community and the natural environment.
October 2010 alone saw the production of more than 20,000 photographs. This program is like an amplifier for the voices of the people behind the lush Borneo forests on which all villages, including Teluk Aur, Empangau, Meliau and Kelawik villages, depend."
