LET'S GO, ONE PERSON PLANT 60 TREES
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Forestry Minister Zulkifli Hasan invites the public to continue implementing an environmentally friendly lifestyle to stop global warming. According to Zulkifli, every person should plant at least 60 trees to replace the oxygen and water that he/she has spent during his/her life.

""The way to love nature is actually easy. Each person, during his life, must have planted at least 60 trees,"" said Zulkifli after participating in the funbike event ""Gowes Bareng Segarkan Kota Jakarta"" held by Kompas Daily, Sunday (25/7/2010).
Zukifli explained that every human consumes 8-10 tons of oxygen every year. While every day, humans can also spend 8-10 liters of water. ""Therefore, global warming and climate change are not just issues. But we really have to face it,"" he said.
By planting 60 trees, Zulkifili said, each person can replace the water and oxygen he/she consumes, while also preventing and reducing the impact of global warming.

""Each tree can produce 20 tons of oxygen and 100 liters of water. Therefore, every person should be able to plant at least 60 trees,"" he said.
