HINO'S MULTI-PURPOSE TRUCK FOR CONSERVATION

Purwakarta (17/12)-As a form of commitment to the environment, Hino Indonesia (PT Hino Motors Sales Indonesia dan PT Hino Motors Manufacturing Indonesia) gave donation to WWF-Indonesia in the form of multi-purpose truck . The donation was symbolically handed over by The President of Hino Motors Limited, Yoshiro Shirai at the dedication ceremony of Hino's plant expansion in Kota Bukit Indah Area Purwakarta, West Java, on Thursday (17 / 12).
The plant expansion of those automotive manufacturers was dedicated by Vice Precident Boediono. The event was also attended by Minister of Manpower and Transmigration, Muhaimin Iskandar, Minister of Domestic Affairs Gamawan Fauzi, and Vice Minister of Industry Alex Retraubun, and the vice president's special staff for Economy, M. Ikhsan and the vice president's special staff for the media affairs, Yopie Hidayat
According to WWF-Indonesia Director of Marketing and Communication Devy Suradji representing WWF-Indonesia at the donation ceremony, Hino multi-purpose truck will be used for numbers of campaign activities aiming at increasing public awareness regarding environmental issues.
""This truck will be used for campaign activities. We can also set it up for mobile multimedia library. Campaign truck will be designed tailoring to the campaign theme. As a starter, we'll put a large tiger sticker since for the next 6 months WWF-Indonesia will focus on campaigning tiger conservation. Moreover, starting 14 February 2010, we'll be entering the year of tiger,"" Devy said.
In adition, Devy expected that what Hino did will be able to inspire other corporations to be more concerned about the environment and encourage business actors take part in the efforts to save the environment.
Hino Indonesia's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program has paid special attention to the environmental issues. According to Mrs.J. Ralhan - Director of PT Hino Motors Manufacturing Indonesia (HMMI), as an environmentally friendly commercial vehicle manufacturer, Hino strongly supports WWF-Indonesia's conservation efforts.
