Background

The high level of population growth in the city / district has an impact on increasing the volume of waste every day. In line with this increase, there is also an increasing demand for services to fulfill the need for waste processing infrastructure and facilities (3R). 

The TPS 3R program aims to reduce the quantity and/or improve the characteristics of waste, which will be processed further in the final waste processing site (TPA) and plays a role in ensuring that there is less need for land for the provision of waste landfills in urban areas. In its implementation, this activity emphasizes the involvement of the community and local government, empowerment of the community and local government as well as guidance and assistance from the Local Government for the sustainability of TPS 3R.

Waste sorting in the community needs to be socialized in the community and needs to be handled seriously, handling waste is already a very basic need. Therefore, the application of 3R in the community currently requires waste processing so as to reduce the burden on landfills Waste Needs Building facilities and infrastructure are a form of realization of environmentally sound development.
