On Saturday (29/11), Bumi Panda Bandung was visited by children from Yayasan Yatim Piatu Puteri "Booth William". That day they were invited to tour Bumi Panda; starting from the Species Room where they were explained about umbrella animals or other animals protected by WWF-Indonesia that are currently endangered. Among them are the Javan Rhino, Sumatran Tiger, orangutan, Sumatran Elephant, turtle, and shark.
The tour continues to the Art Room. In this room there are three large paintings of animals that represent the six animals protected by WWF-Indonesia. The children were told the stories of each painting. Afterward, they saw the history of WWF's first activities in Indonesia as well as the various achievements that have been achieved by the brothers and sisters at WWF-Indonesia who work in various conservation sites throughout the archipelago.
After the tour of Bumi Panda, the children were invited to watch the animated movie "Banyu Adventure in the Land of Trash". Through this movie, the children came to understand the dangers of littering. This bad habit not only causes a flood of plastic waste, but also affects the declining population of sea turtles in the sea.
The children were then taught to recycle. They enthusiastically turned used t-shirts into shopping bags. Not only that, they also colored and played energy quartet cards. From this game, it is hoped that the children will better understand the importance of saving electrical energy.
