GETTING TO KNOW ELEPHANTS THROUGH SNAKES AND LADDERS GAME WITH PANDA MOBILE

Who doesn't know the snakes and ladders game? Almost everyone is familiar with this board game. Characterized by a picture of a snake and a ladder, this game can be an effective means of conveying conservation messages to children. One example is WWF-Indonesia's giant snakes and ladders game titled "Water for Elephants".
Panda Mobile visited KidzArt Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, on Sunday (14/05). One of the messages contained in the "Water for Elephants" snakes and ladders game is that we must maintain the availability of water for the preservation of Sumatran Elephants. The atmosphere was very exciting! The children looked very enthusiastic. However, some of them were crying because they were left behind by their friends. In addition to containing messages related to elephant conservation, the game also contains information about the habitat of elephants that are also endangered so that children get to know this charismatic animal more.
The presence of Panda Mobile on that occasion was to enliven the Open House event organized by KidzArt Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, after the previous year enlivened the Open House event at KidzArt Pantai Indah Kapuk. With the help of Madania High School students who are doing internships as volunteers, the Panda Mobile team provided environmental education through movie watching and water observation activities in Panda Mobile's water education laboratory.
The movie watching activity took place on the Panda Mobile truck. The children were very excited when they were about to get on the educational truck owned by WWF-Indonesia. The movies screened were "Tiger Hunter" and "Living Planet" according to the age of the audience who were still in kindergarten and elementary school. At the end of the movie screening, there were some questions asked by the volunteers. The students scrambled to answer and get the prizes provided.
The message to love animals was also captured in the storytelling activity hosted by Kak Iyan. In his tale, Kak Iyan told the story of a naughty boy named Cilup who often hurt animals in the forest and eventually got punished by the Giant Ant. Through his guitar and puppets, Kak Iyan really made the storytelling activity with Panda Mobile very colorful.
