PANDA MOBILE CAMPAIGNS FOR EASY WAYS TO PROTECT THE EARTH

There are various easy ways to protect the Earth that are related to our daily activities. Some of them are the #BuyTheGood and #30ClapsChallenge. Both campaigns were initiated by WWF-Indonesia so that the public can take part in preserving the Earth. During a visit to SMAK Santa Theresia Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (14/6), WWF-Indonesia's Panda Mobile campaigned for both initiatives.
Sani Firmansyah from WWF-Indonesia's Panda Mobile team explained to around 143 students of SMAK Santa Theresia about the importance of Earth for humans. "This year's Earth Day theme is 'Only One Earth', only Earth can be inhabited by living things. In line with that, research from WWF states that currently people around the world need one half of the Earth's natural resources. If this continues, future generations will not be able to enjoy the natural resources that we can currently enjoy together," said Sani from the Panda Mobile team. "The way we can do this is by #BeliYangBaik, where we are encouraged to consume products that are labeled as environmentally friendly. That way, we have all indirectly supported the conservation efforts carried out by WWF-Indonesia," added Sani.
The explanation from the Panda Mobile team received a positive response from Santa Theresia High School students. Zefta, one of the 11th grade students asked, "Sis, what is an easy way for us as students to support the conservation of animals and nature?" asked Zefta, an 11th grade student of SMAK Santa Theresia. Dimas, WWF-Indonesia's Panda Mobile team answered by explaining WWF's latest campaign, the #30ClapsChallenge. "By supporting the #30ClapsChallenge, we can save the forest by using less tissue together. The more paper towels we use, the more forests we lose so that Sumatran days and other animals that live in them can be endangered, "Dimas explained.
Panda Mobile's visit to SMAK Santa Theresia was also filled with an introduction to WWF-Indonesia. "WWF-Indonesia first started its conservation program in Ujung Kulon National Park to preserve the Javan Rhino," said Suci Dwi Pangestu, WWF-Indonesia's Panda Mobile team. "But now the conservation efforts are getting wider, not only animals but also forests, seas and environmentally friendly lifestyles are efforts made by WWF-Indonesia to protect this Earth," continued Suci.
"Thank you for WWF-Indonesia's Panda Mobile for coming to our school. We have already started implementing an environmentally friendly lifestyle in this school. But with this information sharing, we can increase our concern for nature and animal conservation and support WWF-Indonesia's conservation efforts," said Seneng, an 11th grade teacher of SMAK Santa Theresia.
