Eid al-Fitr 1435 Hijri coincides with school holidays. Visits to Ancol Dreamland have also increased. As in previous years, in order to welcome school holidays and Eid holidays, Panda Mobile was present at Ancol Dreamland to educate children visitors about the environment. Parked in the Ecopark area, this educational truck owned by WWF-Indonesia was present for three consecutive days from August 1-3, 2014.
Assisted by friends from "Teens Go Green" (TGG), a community of environmentalists assisted by Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, Panda Mobile educated visitors who stopped by through various activities; ranging from 3R (reduce, recycle, reuse) activities, coloring, to various informative games. The 3Rs activity was the main part of Panda Mobile that day, utilizing recycled paper that was processed into hanging decorations. The children who participated seemed enthusiastic in following all the activities at Panda Mobile, accompanied by their older siblings.
Ratna, an Ecopark Ancol visitor from Jambi who had the opportunity to enjoy the Panda Mobile activity, revealed, "The activity is great, I'm really excited. I feel like playing here all the time. After coloring, we can play snakes and ladders together. It's so much fun!" Ratna, who came with her friends that day, hopes Panda Mobile can visit her hometown in Jambi.
The presence of Panda Mobile this time is expected to give its own color to the people who spend their vacation time in the Ecopark area, Ancol. Through all its activities, the presence of Panda Mobile in Ancol is also expected to be able to expand the environmental insights of visitors to the tourist area so that they can utilize used goods into useful items and contribute significantly in realizing a sustainable earth.
