LEARN TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT WITH PANDA MOBILE
By: Pratama Aditya and Natalia T. Agnika
Last Wednesday (4/3) students at Al Anshar Kindergarten, Kebon Jeruk, got a special visit. This was the first time Panda Mobile came to the school. Students, teachers, and parents were impressed with the colorful truck that could be transformed into a place to gather, play, and learn about the environment. This time, Panda Mobile's theme was "Waste".
The students seemed to pay attention enthusiastically when a number of movies were played in the Panda Mobile. In order for them to understand better, Panda Mobile volunteers explained the plot of the movie at the beginning. After watching the movie, they listened to storytelling by Kak Ryan. With his distinctive style, he was able to bring the atmosphere to life so that the students were immersed in the story.
The fun of learning to protect the environment with Panda Mobile was even more pronounced when the students of KB-TK Al Anshar played various traditional games, including engklek and snakes and ladders. There were no tired or bored looks on their faces. Everyone was eager to enjoy the visit of the Panda Mobile team.
The activity at KB-TK Al Anshar was closed by taking a video related to the Earth Hour campaign at the end of March. Not to forget, they took a group photo next to the Panda Mobile truck. The teachers at KB-TK Al Anshar hope that Panda Mobile will visit their school again so that students can more easily understand the importance of protecting the environment.
Similar activities were also carried out by the Panda Mobile team on the next day (5/3). This time Panda Mobile visited Al Bayan Elementary School, Ciledug. This visit in the "Science Day Competition" themed event is the third time Panda Mobile has visited the school. The school wants to educate students from grade 1 to grade 3 about how to manage a healthy environment and the process of decomposing waste.
They were invited to watch the movie "Monster Sampah" on the Panda Mobile truck. In turn, students from grade 1 to grade 3 boarded the truck and enjoyed the movie. After watching the movie, the older siblings from the Panda Mobile team asked various questions about the movie. The students who could answer got interesting prizes. All the participants looked very excited. Seeing this activity running smoothly, the teachers hope that Panda Mobile can come back next time with even more innovative activities.
