I. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Provide day-to-day technical and operational support to ensure effective program implementation in accordance with the approved work plan, proper documentation of program achievements, and the effective implementation of the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) system to support evidence-based decision-making.

Work Allocation:

• Program Implementation and Management Support: 50%
• Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL): 50%

This position is expected to bridge day-to-day program implementation with the strengthening of monitoring, evaluation, learning, and results-based reporting systems, contributing to the effective and accountable achievement of program objectives.

II. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Program Implementation and Coordination Support

• Support the implementation of program activities.
• Facilitate coordination with partners and the landscape team.
• Monitor the progress of program activities carried out by the program team and partners.
• Prepare activity documentation, meeting minutes, and follow-up actions from meetings.
• Support the organization of workshops, training sessions, public consultations, and other field activities.

B. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL)

• Support the implementation of the project's Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) framework.
• Monitor program indicators, targets, and achievements on a regular basis.
• Collect, verify, process, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from partner reports and field activities.
• Manage the program database and indicator tracking system.
• Support the implementation of outcome harvesting, collection of Most Significant Change (MSC) stories, lessons learned, and documentation of program best practices.
• Facilitate reflection and learning sessions with program partners.

C. Reporting and Knowledge Management

• Support the preparation of donor narrative reports, program reports, and management reports.
• Prepare activity summaries and ensure that all supporting documents, evidence of activities, and monitoring data are systematically maintained.
• Support knowledge management initiatives and the dissemination of program learning.

III. SAFEGUARD, RISK MANAGEMENT & COMPLIANCE

• Carry out all activities while upholding the rights of Indigenous Peoples, Human Rights, Gender Equality, and inclusive conservation principles in accordance with organizational values and standards.
• Maintain the confidentiality of organizational data and information and act within the scope of assigned authority.
• Contribute to the identification, analysis, and assessment of organizational risks.
• Support risk management efforts in accordance with established risk treatment strategies.

IV. QUALIFICATIONS

A. Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, Agriculture, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, Public Policy, or other relevant disciplines.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in program management, monitoring and evaluation, community development, or related fields.
• Experience working with civil society organizations, Indigenous Peoples, local communities, or environmental conservation programs.
• Experience supporting internationally funded donor programs is an advantage.
• Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting.

B. Technical Competencies

• Good understanding of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) principles and practices.
• Understanding of Results-Based Management (RBM) and Theory of Change approaches.
• Ability to manage and analyze both quantitative and qualitative data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with data management systems or data visualization tools is an advantage.
