I. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
WWF-Indonesia’s Marine and Fisheries Program works to support the sustainable management of marine and coastal ecosystems in Indonesia through science-based conservation approaches, sustainable fisheries practices, and collaborative governance. The program focuses on strengthening Marine Protected Areas (MPAs), advancing Other Effective Area-Based Conservation Measures (OECMs), protecting endangered, threatened, and protected (ETP) marine species, and promoting the sustainable management of critical coastal ecosystems such as coral reefs, seagrass beds, and mangrove forests.

The position will provide technical and scientific support in the planning, development, and implementation of marine conservation programs under WWF-Indonesia’s Marine and Fisheries Program. This position plays a key role in advancing evidence-based conservation and sustainable marine resource management across Indonesia’s coastal and marine ecosystems.
