Irwan is a student of the Department of Medical Education, Faculty of Medicine, Gadjah Mada University. In XPDCSULTRA, Irwan acts as a photographer and videographer documenting the twelve-day expedition.

Irwan is passionate about diving, photography, and underwater, land, and even aerial videography. He has been involved in making travel video documentation with Lensa Basah, a production house initiated by members of the UGM Diving Unit. Irwan actively participates in underwater photo competitions, and is trained in various underwater documentation projects ranging from Situbondo, Baluran, Manta Ray habitat in Nusa Penida, Bali, to North Sulawesi.
