On Friday (13/2) evening, a venue gathering was held at Aiola Cafe Surabaya. The activity prepared and organized by all staff of WWF-Indonesia Surabaya Hub Office is a form of appreciation for a number of partners who have been faithfully supporting WWF-Indonesia's environmental socialization program as well as a place to strengthen the relationship between the two parties.
The semi-formal event that started at 19.00 WIB was hosted by Titin and Fidya, both fundraisers from Hub Surabaya. As an opening, Devy Suradji, Marketing Director WWF-Indonesia, gave a speech that contained an expression of gratitude and appreciation to the guests who were representatives of a number of malls that have been cooperating with WWF-Indonesia.
Afterwards, the audience was invited to watch a short movie about Sumatran Elephant conservation. As the movie ended, the audience's curiosity about the conservation work carried out by WWF-Indonesia that night was satisfied with the presentation delivered by Primayunta, WWF-Indonesia's Online Digital Maintenance Officer, who also became a resource person in the question and answer session.
After having dinner together, the audience was entertained by the performances of Pathetic Experience and Senandung Sore music groups, as well as belly-shaking jokes performed by Surabaya's standing comedian, Pulung. The intimate atmosphere seemed to be closely intertwined that night. At the end of the event, Devy Suradji symbolically handed over certificates to Mall partners and closed with a group photo.
Met at a separate time, Haina, a representative from Mirota Surabaya, expressed her admiration for the concept of organizing the activity. "I like the event because it is relaxed and not formal. Also because there are many young people who come so they can increase their knowledge about nature. I suggest that in the next organization, it can be done outdoors so that it is more in touch with nature. In Surabaya, there are many gardens and parks that can be utilized, such as Mangrove Park for example."
