PANDA MOBILE INTRODUCES DUGONG TO LITTLE SUNSHINE KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS

A good working relationship results in a sustainable collaboration. That's what happened between WWF-Indonesia's Panda Mobile and TK Little Sunshine Cibubur. For the umpteenth time, WWF-Indonesia's educational truck visited the school. On Friday (20/10), the Panda Mobile delivered a conservation message about a marine animal that children are not familiar with, the dugong.
The presence of Panda Mobile has apparently been awaited by the students. While the volunteers were still preparing their equipment, the students began to approach the six-wheeled truck. Their appearance was very unique. Almost all the students were wearing animal-related clothing or accessories. Some wore lion head hats, giraffe-patterned shirts, and others. The teachers were not to be outdone. They also wore various clothes with animal attributes. Some even painted their faces to resemble tigers.
After a brief introduction about WWF, Kak Ryan opened the activity with storytelling. In accordance with the theme, Kak Ryan told stories about dugong and other marine animals. His distinctive voice and guitar playing greatly entertained the students. Storytelling was closed with the "Baby Shark" dance. All students swayed enthusiastically.
Because the time given to the Panda Mobile team was not too much, the next activity was carried out in three groups. There were groups watching the movie, doing the "Explore Papua" game, and the "Guess the Animal" game. The "Explore Papua" game introduced the students to typical Papuan animals. Most of them had never heard of these animals, such as the pig-snouted turtle, golden coat kangaroo, and whale shark. In the "Guess the Animal" game, the students were only told the characteristics of the animals. They then guessed with great enthusiasm and always competed to guess first. Each group then took turns doing different activities so that the students could participate in all activities. "
"The event was okay, everything was connected. The games, the storytelling, everything synergized well. The activities (Panda Mobile) are also always different from year to year. The volunteers are also getting better at handling the children. Maybe it's just the truck's skin (body) that needs to be replaced, hehehe," said Milla Hardiana, Principal of Little Sunshine Cibubur Kindergarten.
