In the spirit of Indonesian independence, WWF-Indonesia's Panda Mobile spread the spirit of conservation in two places at once, namely in Bekasi and Bogor. On Saturday, (19/08), the 72nd anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia was celebrated at Al-Awwal Kindergarten in Bekasi. WWF-Indonesia's Panda Mobile participated in the festivities by providing fun education through storytelling, games, and movie watching.
The students were enthusiastically waiting for the arrival of the Panda Mobile truck. The Panda Mobile activity at Al-Awwal Kindergarten took place after the flag ceremony. Beginning with an introduction from the Panda Mobile team about WWF, the activity continued with storytelling by Kak Ryan. The typical animal sounds and entertaining stories from the fairy tale characters played by Kak Ryan made the students very entertained. But they also got a message about caring for endangered animals through the fairy tale.
After listening to the storytelling, the participants were divided into four groups to participate in four different activities, namely watching movies, playing "Jelajah Papua", cranklek, and snakes and ladders guided by Panda Mobile volunteers. Each group took turns doing the activities so that all could participate in the four types of activities.
Similar excitement also occurred at Kemang Indah Regency in Kp. Parung Jambu, Katulampa, Bogor in the afternoon. WWF-Indonesia's Panda Mobile also enlivened the 72nd Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia by providing new knowledge and experience about the environment to children in the area. After the introduction, Kak Ryan told a story about independence and the environment. The story was told about a man who littered and was later found by a tiger. The tiger then returned the garbage to the man and eventually recycled it into useful items. Children get a message through this fairy tale not to litter and the knowledge that garbage can also still be useful if recycled.
The children at Kemang Indah Regency also had the opportunity to climb onto the Panda Mobile truck and watch the movies "Tiger Hunter" and "Plastic Planet". After the movie, Panda Mobile volunteers explained the messages contained in the movie and then asked several questions about the movie. Children who were able to answer correctly received attractive prizes. Activities at Panda Mobile were closed with coloring activities and reading books about the environment and animals in the Panda Mobile library.
