Job Description

• Works with the PO Director in promoting P&C best practices and ensuring a systematic approach to P&C processes and procedures. Contributes to strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of WWF-Indonesia’s People & Culture strategy, focusing on HR Management Systems, Workplace Health & Safety, workforce planning, remuneration and benefits, diversity and inclusion, and recruitment.
• Evaluates the P&C strategy regularly, reports to the PO Director on implementation, identifies challenges, and proposes adaptive steps to ensure goal achievement. Contributes to people initiatives and projects to enhance WWF-Indonesia as a great workplace and attract top talent for conservation goals.
• Works with the Program team to identify talent needs and funding requirements for staff costs in new projects. Assists the PO Director in structuring the organization, including analyzing staff cost funding needs.
• Leads the implementation of the People Management and Development strategy, ensuring effective talent planning, acquisition, management, and retention processes, including annual staff planning, recruitment, staff induction, contracting, and internship/volunteering programs. Identifies and facilitates career development and succession planning for WWF-Indonesia talents.
• Ensures compliance with WWF principles, policies, and labor laws in people management. Provides employee support in disciplinary matters, grievances, and counseling. Implements WWF Indonesia’s compensation and benefits policy, ensuring alignment with local labor market trends.
• Manages the annual performance appraisal process, promoting continuous feedback and objectives setting. Supports people managers in performance reviews, tracks performance outcomes, and implements appropriate reward policies.
• Plans and coordinates staff development and succession planning, including needs assessment, training policies, collective training sessions, and partnerships with training institutions. Analyzes performance management outputs, develops and implements performance improvement and capacity-building plans.
• Advises the PO Director on emerging staff-related matters, handling complaints, disputes, and grievances professionally. Recommends annual remuneration reviews, job leveling, salary range updates, and equity analysis while staying updated on peer organizations’ staff benefit policies.
• Maintains HR data and statistics, providing regular reports and analysis for continuous improvement. Ensures payroll processes comply with government fiscal and labor requirements, including tax payments and pension enrollments. Oversees staff insurance policies and keeps employees informed.
• Participates in audits and assessments, providing HR files and data, and collaborates with the Finance and Administration team. Promotes WWF’s four values and ways of working to reinforce team cohesion and well-being. Supports adherence to core network standards like Safeguards training, Respect in the Workplace, Diversity & Inclusion, and Health & Safety.
• Manages end-to-end HR administration, including drafting contracts, payroll, timesheets, leave management, and other HR-related administrative procedures. Ensures personnel contracts comply with WWF and Indonesian labor laws and policies. Liaises with national labor authorities on HR and legal matters.
• Supervises and manages all WWF-Indonesia staff and the People & Culture Department team, including hiring, development, and evaluation of personnel. Coordinates organizational development planning, informs departments on organizational objectives, and ensures effective resource management in compliance with WWF project and financial standards.

Job Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Sociology, or a relevant field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in people management and/or organizational development, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of strategic HR management, organizational development, workforce planning, and HR policies in Indonesia.
• Experience in HR generalist functions, including recruitment, onboarding, relocation, and talent acquisition.
• Proven ability to lead teams, drive change initiatives, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with experience in payroll, remuneration benchmarking, and organizational metrics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create reports, conduct presentations, and negotiate effectively.
• Ability to take initiative, prioritize tasks, manage conflicts, and make strategic decisions under pressure.
• Skilled in coaching, counseling, and handling employee relations matters, including grievance resolution and disciplinary actions.
• Experience in HR project management and implementing change management strategies in a matrix organization.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and establish effective relationships at all levels.
• High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential information and ensuring compliance with ethical HR practices.
