Indra is a student of Marine Science and Technology, Bogor Agricultural University (ITK IPB). During his college days, he has done diving training incorporated in the Indonesian Diving Sport Association (POSSI) and experienced in reef fish community observation. Indra has participated in the Banten Bay Edition Expedition conducted by the Marine Science and Technology Student Association (HIMITEKA) in 2014 and served as a team of divers as well as observers of the reef fish community.
Indra's achievements during college were participating in the DIKTI-funded Student Creativity Program in the field of Scientific Articles with the title Reef Fish Community Structure on Pramuka Island, Kepulauan Seribu, Jakarta in 2014; Research Student Creativity Program in 2014 with the title Effect of Feeding Pattern on Protein Content and Stress Level of Sea urchin (Diadema setossum) as an Effort to Optimize Aquaculture Results; and in 2015 with the title Engineering Natural Breeding Ground Clown Fish (Amphiprion ocellaris) as an Aquarium-scale Breeding Vehicle.
In the Southwest Maluku Expedition, Indra acts as one of the Ecology Team members who will conduct reef fish observations.
