The largest vegetarian and organic food festival in Indonesia titled Earth Festival 2017 was held on September 1-3, 2017 at Living World Alam Sutera. Panda Mobile WWF-Indonesia, and Sea Soldier. Themed "Love Our Earth", Earth Festival 2017 was organized to invite the public to care more about the environment and introduce vegetarian food.
The activities are very diverse, ranging from coloring competitions, dance art, face painting, educational activities, to healthy culinary offerings. For healthy culinary, the committee has provided various food stands lined up at the location. The food offered must meet healthy and environmentally friendly criteria.
On this occasion, WWF-Indonesia's Panda Mobile team was tasked with environmental education activities at the Earth Festival 2017. The Panda Mobile volunteers invited children who visited Earth Festival 2017 to participate in movie watching activities, playing educational games, face painting, and coloring competitions.
Watching movies is one of the activities that children are interested in, ranging from films about waste, animal conservation, to energy utilization displayed on the Panda Mobile truck. In addition, children were also invited to get to know about the Sumatran Tiger through coloring activities. The Panda Mobile team distributed Sumatran Tiger coloring sheets with information about the tiger on the back of the coloring paper. The hope is that the participants and accompanying parents will better understand the condition of the endangered Sumatran Tiger.
During the three days, visitors of all ages who visited the Panda Mobile truck could decorate their faces with various pictures of endangered animals. From children, teenagers, to adults, they enthusiastically participated in the face painting activities and proudly showed off the decorations on their faces. They tried to express their love for these endangered animals through the pictures on their faces.
Through this series of activities, Panda Mobile WWF-Indonesia hopes that the participants will always protect the environment and can spread the 'virus' of environmental love to friends, relatives, or relatives who are close to them.
