Ranny Ramadhani Yuneni is a 2013 graduate of Marine Science from Diponegoro University. During college, Ranny participated in a shark and manta ray protection program in Raja Ampat in 2012. A year later, Ranny conducted research on manta rays, an endangered biota, in the Komodo Islands with the international NGO, Manta Watch.

Ranny was listed as one of the Woman in Conservation in Dive Magazine - United Kingdom in 2014. She joined WWF-Indonesia early the same year, as a Shark & Ray Program Officer (for Bycatch). Ranny is responsible for conducting research on sharks and rays in various parts of Indonesia, and working to reduce the pressure on bycatch of extinction-prone shark species.
