WWF-INDONESIA CHANGES THE MANAGEMENT
Jakarta, 10 September 2021 – The WWF Indonesia Foundation Board, Friday 10 September 2021, announced that it has accepted the resignation of Dicky P Simorangkir after one year of leading the WWF Indonesia Foundation as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). During his time with the WWF Indonesia Foundation, Dicky Simorangkir has tried to oversee change despite having different views and strategies with the Governing Body regarding how the WWF Indonesia Foundation should develop in the future. His contribution has also colored the process of transformation and internal improvement of the organization. The WWF Indonesia Foundation is grateful for all the efforts and commitments of Dicky who has completed his task of leading the WWF Indonesia Foundation during this time of change.
The Governing Body has appointed Aditya Bayunanda and Lukas Adhyakso as Interim Rotating CEOs who will alternately be responsible for carrying out the duties, functions, and roles of the CEO of the WWF Indonesia Foundation during the leadership transition. Through this mechanism, senior management is encouraged to share responsibilities and take on a larger role within the organization, including promoting leadership and collective decision-making, as well as strengthening more harmonious and democratic working relationships.
The Governing Body will immediately carry out the process of recruiting a new CEO who will continue the leadership and continue the agenda for organizational change as in the spirit of the new ways of working that have been carried out so far. This is an effort to further strengthen the foundation and the operating of the organization in accordance with the values of the Foundation. WWF Indonesia Foundation will continue its work in championing the conservation mission by working closely with the government, private sector, community, and educational/research institutions to build a more sustainable future for the welfare of present and future generations in Indonesia.
