PANDA MOBILE AND PAJERO INDONESIA CLUB INVITE FAMILIES TO GET TO KNOW INDONESIA'S BIODIVERSITY

Living in cities sometimes makes most people forget the importance of natural balance. In fact, the relationship between living things and the place where they live is a relationship that needs each other. Humans as social beings who have reason and intelligence must be aware of the importance of maintaining environmental balance.
In order to bring humans closer to nature, WWF-Indonesia's Panda Mobile was invited by the Pajero Indonesia Club to introduce their family members to the biodiversity in Indonesia. The event took place last Saturday (17/02) at the Highland Resort Hotel, Bogor.
After their fun touring, Panda Mobile provided education about animals and the environment. Towards the afternoon, the participants gathered in a room which was then filled with an introduction session of WWF-Indonesia and a presentation on WWF-Indonesia's conservation programs. In this session, Panda Mobile volunteers also explained about six species of umbrella animals that have more contribution and value for environmental conservation.
To make the children more familiar with the six umbrella animals, they were invited to color pictures of the six umbrella animals, namely orangutans, elephants, tigers, rhinos, turtles, and whale sharks. The children were very excited to color the six species of umbrella animals.
Another way to encourage children to learn more about protected animals in Indonesia is through the game of cricket. This game contains brief information about orangutans and tigers. And it turns out that many of them were playing this game for the first time. The children enthusiastically listened to the information read out by one of Panda Mobile's volunteers.
At the end of the activity, WWF-Indonesia's Panda Mobile team also invited them to use public transportation, be wise in using private vehicles, and reduce the use of tissues and plastics. These are easy ways that can be done everyday to make nature and the environment sustainable.
