On a sunny morning last Friday (20/06), a number of school children in white and white uniforms lined up in an orderly manner, queuing to board the Panda Mobile parked in the courtyard of the Setia Budi Sub-district Office. They are students of SMP Negeri 58 Setia Budi, Jakarta, who that day participated in various activities with environmental knowledge content, guided by Panda Mobile volunteers. Adding to the excitement, volunteers from HSBC were also present to assist.
"I'm really happy with today's activity. I was taught how to recycle old t-shirts.
That day, seven groups of students from grade 7 and grade 8 took turns participating in three activities; watching short films and discussions on the Panda Mobile, 3R activities (Reduce, Reuse, Recycling), and games on the school field. The students were enthusiastic and happy to participate. Moreover, the older siblings who were involved in guiding them also enjoyed their task.
The day's activities were closed with a group photo of SMP Negeri 58 students with HSBC volunteers and WWF-Indonesia volunteers. Say, cheeese!
