MYBABYTREE PROGRAM IS BACK
Watersheds are often seen simply as a source and place where water flows from upstream to downstream, to the beach or coast. In fact, watershed is a complex ecological system, in which there are various renewable and non-renewable Natural Resources (SDA). Good watershed management is believed to be able to accommodate, store and drain water consistently to support community life in a sustainable manner.
In order to restore the sustainability of the Ciliwung watershed, WWF Indonesia held another MyBabyTree program in Cisarua, Bogor, on November 24, 2012. This activity is also to commemorate the Indonesian Tree Planting Day which this year falls on November 28, and International Tree Day on November 21. In addition, it is one of the activities in the series of the Golden Path of Love, the theme raised in WWF Indonesia's 50th anniversary.
"MyBabyTree" is a tree planting program initiated by WWF Indonesia in an effort to reforest deforested lands which are vital areas for the sustainability of springs as one of the supports of human life. This program has a mission to restore the function of the Ciliwung watershed as a place to hold, accommodate, and drain rainwater to a lower place, so that during the rainy season it does not cause flooding, and during the dry season there is no drought.
