Certification of Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) and Timber Legality Verification System (SVLK) were initial steps towards the restponsible trade which has been one strategic element in the practice of Best Management Practice (BMP) between producer companies and retail businesses. WWF-Indonesia supporterd the acceleration of Sustainable Forest Management through the agreement signing with PT Sucofindo (Persero), an Indonesian independent institutions that have so far offering SVLK audit service. The partnership regarding SVLK and Global Forest Trade Network (GFTN) audits has been the mutual synergy for the business world in order to enhance the options for environmentally responsible business.
