Better Management Practices (BMP), Small Scale Fisheries Guidance Series, Lobster Fisheries is one of the capture fisheries guidelines compiled by the WWF-Indonesia Fisheries Team and published in 2015. Lobster BMPs can be used as a guide by fishermen in conducting lobster fishing in a more environmentally friendly manner. This is not only in the interest of preserving the marine ecosystem and the sustainability of fisheries resources, but also ensuring the sustainability of the livelihood of lobster fishers themselves.

The preparation of Lobster BMPs is carried out through various stages, namely:

• Field data collection in locations that are lobster fishing centers such as Gunung Kidul, Pangandaran, Kendari, Selayar, and Luwuk;
• Discussions with relevant stakeholders such as government, academics, and entrepreneurs;
• Lobster fishermen mentoring activities carried out by WWF-Indonesia with partners in Wakatobi;
• Literature study of the results of the literature study on lobster fishermen.
• Literature study of other research results.

This BMP is a flexible (living document), which will continue to be refined in accordance with developments in the field and input from relevant parties. Lobster BMP is one of WWF-Indonesia's contributions in supporting sustainable fisheries management in Indonesia.
