ADITYA BAYUNANDA, NEW CEO OF WWF-INDONESIA FOUNDATION
The WWF Indonesia Foundation Board of Directors announced Aditya Bayunanda, known as Dito, as the new Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of WWF-Indonesia effective November 1, 2022.
Dito has been with WWF-Indonesia since 2009. Prior to assuming the role of CEO, Dito served as Acting CEO and Director of Conservation for 14 months.
With a strong background as a forester, Dito has held key managerial positions in various organizations, such as Manager of WWF Global Forest Trade Network Indonesia, Pulp and Paper Manager, Heart of Borneo Thematic Leader for Sustainable Business, and Forest-based Commodities Strategic Leader, including as Deputy Director at the Indonesian Ecolabeling Institute (Lembaga Ekolabel Indonesia-LEI). Besides being an environmental activist and involved as a member of the International Working Group at FSC and HCSA, Dito is also interested in politics and governance.
After a rigorous selection process, Dito was chosen as the ideal figure to lead WWF- Indonesia.
Based on his experience, passion, love for nature, and strong leadership, Dito has committed to lead the organization and grow WWF Indonesia towards achieving its conservation goal, which is "Supporting the government in protecting nature and ensuring sustainable and equitable management of Indonesia's natural resources and biodiversity for the welfare of present and future generations."
