Air pollution in Jakarta is in alarming condition. Various parties pay more attention to overcome this. One of the efforts to improve air quality in Jakarta comes through the "One Ride One Seed" initiative initiated by Bluebird in collaboration with WWF-Indonesia.
The "One Ride One Seed" program provides an opportunity for people who have traveled using Bluebird electric vehicles to contribute to environmental conservation. By adding a donation of Rp100,000- to the cost of their trip, E-Bluebird and E-Silverbird users can adopt a tree that will be planted in the Upper Cilliwung Watershed. "One Ride One Seed" program.
Adrianto Djokosoetono, Director of PT Blue Bird Tbk, said "This step is a form of corporate concern to invite the community together in preserving nature. We believe this program will not only help reduce air pollution, but also be able to help preserve the environment and clean water sustainability for the people of Jakarta." Bluebird also plans to bring in as many as 200 electric cars by 2020, to eliminate 434,095 kg of CO2 emissions or 1,898,182 liters of fuel consumption.
WWF welcomes Bluebird's commitment to environmental preservation, especially improving air quality in Jakarta by presenting electric vehicles as a choice of transportation modes. Bluebird's environmental improvement efforts through the "One Ride One Seed" collaboration program also received appreciation from WWF-Indonesia.
"Collaboration with Bluebird through the One Ride One Seed program is in line with our goals to repair environmental damage and build a better future. With this program, the wider community from various backgrounds is invited to take an active role in Indonesia's nature conservation efforts by planting trees on critical land. This program is also expected to be a good start for all of us in reducing air pollution as well as reducing carbon emissions, especially in Jakarta, which has recently ranked at the top of unhealthy air conditions," explained Ade Swargo Mulyo, Director of Partnerships WWF-Indonesia.
