Jibriel Sofyan is studying Marine Science, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, Diponegoro University, Semarang since 2012. Born in Sumedang in 1993, he is active in the Marine Diving Club (MDC) of Undip Marine Science as an expedition staff. With his Advanced Open Water Diver certification from PADI, Jibriel is active as a volunteer in the Shark Diving Indonesia Morotai Internship Program, as a dive guide and trip leader.

In Morotai, the man who also studies photography and graphic design has supported data collection of coral reef, mangrove and seagrass ecosystems with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries in the formation of the RZWP (Coastal Zone Plan). He also volunteered for the Shark DivingIndonesia Project's Reef Sharks Monitoring in Morotai, helping to collect data on reef shark populations. In his hometown, Sumedang, he is active as the Culture and Tourism Division Coordinator of PRESMASS (Sumedang Student Presidium). In #XPDCSULTRA, Jibriel acts as a fish researcher in the ecological survey team.
