Anung Wijaya is an expedition participant from the Marine and Fisheries Service (DKP) of Southeast Sulawesi Province. Since 2014, he has served as a Conservation and Rehabilitation Section Staff. Anung graduated from the Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, Halu Oleo University, Kendari in 2009. Before joining DKP Southeast Sulawesi, Anung worked as Assistant Area Coordinator for Southeast Sulawesi Region at PT Barometer Suara Indonesia (BSI).

Anung is active as a benthic researcher in various coral reef health monitoring activities, since 2005 until now. This father of one is trusted as a roll master in XPDCSULTRA. He is the one who stretches the roll meter in each dive transect, so that all ecological survey team members can get the best data at each point. As a representative of the Southeast Sulawesi Provincial DKP, Anung's fluency in his home region and his extensive network across Southeast Sulawesi greatly assisted the team in understanding the profile of the area, thus supporting the smooth sailing.
