WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE WITH WWF-INDONESIA
By: Rian Karoma
It was a valuable experience for me, when I started working in various sectors. Until finally I tried the conservation sector. It was a very different experience that I felt, for about 4 years I have gone through. I have learned so many lessons that I can't help but find this job very enjoyable.
Starting from being assigned to go directly to the conservation field, meeting with local communities, observing animals, sowing useful seeds and other conservation activities. Although I am not always assigned to go to the conservation field, the opportunities I have gone through are enough and very meaningful to me. At least I can contribute by supporting what is needed for the sustainability of this conservation.
In the past, I only knew that protecting nature is by not littering or throwing garbage in its place. "Eitsss it's the same thing ... it's okay, the important thing is not to do anything wrong". It turns out that being in a non-governmental organization, especially WWF-Indonesia, is like waking up from a long sleep. I used to just be a young man who likes to enjoy the beauty of nature, thank God now I can contribute to protecting and preserving nature and its contents. Although it may still be a small contribution ... it's okay, the important thing is not to be wrong," Aamiin.
