Wahyu Teguh Prawira is a Bachelor of Applied Science in Fisheries graduated from Jakarta Fisheries College in 2011, with a major in Fishing Technology, Fisheries Machinery Department. In 2011, Teguh started his career at WWF-Indonesia as an Onboard Observer.

Since March 2013 until now, Teguh has served as the Hook and Line Bycatch Officer, WWF-Indonesia. He is responsible for organizing the activities of onboard observers in three fishing ports in order to collect data on bycatch (bycatch) of protected marine biota. Teguh also ensured a reduction in the mortality rate of bycatch of protected marine biota onboard vessels and ensured the availability of new verified observer data.

In addition, Teguh also provided training to fishermen with fishing gear and nets on how to handle bycatch on board in accordance with existing Better Management Practices (BMPs).
