RHINOCARE: THANK YOU PAGE FOR ANDREA CARUSO AND GREGORY SEIDEL
As an ecologist, Andrea Caruso has deep concern to the conservation, especially study of invasive plant species. Finding her passion on the environment, Gregory Seidel (Greg) was encouraged to give a wonderful souvenir to her by adopting Euis, a female javan rhino in Ujung Kulon NP, Indonesia which its habitat is facing serious threat from invasive plant species, Árenga obtusifolia.
Hence, adopting javan rhino symbolically has been decided to become his engagement souvenir. Rather than purchasing a diamond ring, Greg has donated a certain amount of money to the conservation that is her passion.
“We are very pleased to adopt our Javan rhino and hopefully it will increase awareness of this beautiful but critically endangered species, to the people of the United States. We are saddened that, despite the benefit of a protected area, invasive plant species in Ujung Kulon National Park is now becoming a threat to the rhino. We hope our contributions will provide a habitat that enables this species to recover and flourish”, Greg said.
WWF-Indonesia especially RhinoCare Program is very grateful and would like to convey our appreciation to Greg and Andrea for adopting Euis through the Silver adoption program. Thank you very much for your helping hands and contribution to save our endangered species, the Javan Rhino!
