Leatherback turtle (Dermochelys coriacea) is one of the 4 species of sea turtles whose nesting habitat is in the northern waters of the Bird's Head Coast of Papua, precisely in Tambrauw Regency, Abun district. The beach is the largest nesting beach specifically for leatherback turtles. The beach is divided into two beaches, namely Jamursbamedi beach (Warmamedi, Baturumah and Wembrak) with a beach length of 17.5 KM and Warmon beach with a beach length of 4.5 KM.
