PT Hino Motors Sales Indonesia again shows its concern for the environment. This time, Hino donated 1 (one) unit of 708C engine as the implementation of the program "Donation of Menami Motorboat Engine to Support Conservation Activities".
The handover of the engine was done at WWF Renon Office, Bali, last October 8, 2014. The donation aims to help WWF-Indonesia's Menami motorboat in charge of monitoring and research activities in the Sunda Banda Seascape area in the coral reef triangle (Coral Triangle).
On that occasion, a series of short films about the activities of the Menami motorboat were shown as well as a short presentation about the Coral Triangle from the WWF-Indonesia team. The presentation clearly explained the importance of the coral reef area which is an important habitat for marine life in it. If coral reefs are sustainable, then the ecosystem in the sea will be well maintained.
Toshiro Mizutani, President Commissioner of Hino Indonesia, hopes that the machine assistance can motivate people to support conservation activities in the marine area.
While in her speech, Devy Suradji, Marketing Director of WWF-Indonesia, appreciated the engine assistance from Hino and considered it as a real support for nature conservation efforts. "Coral reefs are home to fish and other marine creatures. If we do not preserve them, in the future we will have a deficit of food sources from the sea."
Both parties hope that the donation can have a positive impact on Indonesia's seas and motivate people to continue to maintain the beauty and richness of our underwater world.
