KICK OFF FSTP WORKSHOP
WWF Indonesia together with AURIGA held a Kick-Off Workshop for the project "Enabling Civil Society's Contribution to Prosperous, Fair, and Sustainable Development in Energy Transition and Sustainable Land Use". This activity was carried out to strengthen the role and capacity of civil society organizations (CSOs) at the national and sub-national levels in promoting equitable energy transition and sustainable land management in Indonesia. In this workshop, participants discussed the objectives, expected achievements, and the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) framework as a guide to measuring project impact. In addition, financial Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) were discussed to strengthen transparency and accountability, as well as communication strategies to increase donor effectiveness and visibility. This activity is an important first step in strengthening the synergy of various stakeholders towards sustainable and responsible inclusive development.
Background
The project "Enabling Civil Society's Contribution to Prosperous, Fair and Sustainable Development in Energy Transition and Sustainable Land Use" led by WWF Indonesia Foundation and AURIGA aims to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations (CSOs) at national and sub-national levels. In the context of energy transition and sustainable land use, the role of CSOs is critical to ensure inclusive and data-driven participation in policy development and implementation.
This kick-off workshop will be a platform to briefly introduce and discuss the project, including its objectives and expected outcomes. In addition, this meeting will address important aspects such as Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) to ensure that all activities can be effectively measured and evaluated. Visibility and communication strategies will also be in focus, with the aim to increase public awareness and support for the issues raised by the project.
In order to support the success of the project, discussions on partner financial Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) will also take place. This is important to ensure transparency and accountability in the management of funds, and to build trust between all parties involved.
By engaging a wide range of stakeholders, this workshop is expected to create a space for constructive dialog and facilitate effective collaboration between CSOs, governments, and the private sector in achieving the goals of equitable energy transition and sustainable land management.
Aim
The inception workshop for FSTP partners should explain the project objectives, financial procedures (SOPs), communication guidelines (SOPs), communication strategy including donor visibility (EU), and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (MER) methods. The workshop aims to ensure partners clearly understand their roles and responsibilities.
Expected outcomes:
The workshop is expected to improve partners' understanding of the project, ensure compliance with financial and communication procedures, improve communication strategies for donor visibility, and build effective communications.
