Dwi Ariyogagautama is the Bycatch and Sharks Conservation Coordinator, WWF-Indonesia. He became interested in fisheries ecology since joining the Marine Diving Club (MDC) diving club in 2003 until graduating from Diponegoro University Marine Science in 2007.
The passion to remain consistent in the marine field, began with a career with the Pelangi Indonesia Foundation in promoting climate change adaptation programs with ornamental fish fishermen in Banyuwangi. Then, in 2009, Yoga joined WWF-Indonesia's Marine Program as a Fisheries Officer with the working areas of East Flores, Lembata, and Alor.
Since 2013, Yoga has been in charge of the tuna fisheries performance improvement program as Tuna Specialist Senior Officer. A year later, he took on the role of Bycatch and Sharks Conservation Coordinator. He ensures the protection of turtle and shark populations by promoting the implementation of the shark and turtle National Plan of Action (NPOA), promoting the protection of important shark habitats through the Marine Protected Area (MPA) for sharks, and improving sustainable fisheries practices especially on the issue of bycatch.
