Angkasa Pura I has also incorporated environmental strategies into corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs such as tree planting, coral reef planting, and others.
Some initiatives on operational activities that are environmentally based are:

Conducting environmental impact analysis (AMDAL) for every development in the airport area, both landside and airside.
Installation of rainwater management facilities, waste water recycling, vehicle emission measurement, and waste management.
Implementation of the concept of terminal lighting architecture at airports and new airport terminals.
Installation of LED floods lights for apron area lighting, sensor systems on equipment, solar panels, and cooling with centrifugal magnetic bearings. All of these are used as alternative energy management solutions that enable energy savings.
Angkasa Pura also conducts habitat management studies to ensure that airport development and operations do not interfere with biodiversity and mitigate hazards posed by the presence of wild animals in the airport area.
